Finally home!

Luke Skywalker stopped in front of his front door at the Great Massassi Temple of the Jedi Academy and pulled a deep breath to calm himself down. By the time he exhaled his Jedi calming techniques had soothed him. It was a good thing to have his Jedi abilities in handy in situations like these.

Only this time it was his role as Jedi Master that had put him in this situation in the first place.

He was late!

Once calmed down, he opened the door and entered.

A comfortable darkness meat him. A few lights were turned on in the rooms further in, otherwise everything was dim. Some soft music was heard from the living room, the volume was low. She was home. But he already knew that.

Luke pulled his grey-black Jedi robe off his shoulders. Although he loved his job, it felt good taking the responsibility literary off his shoulders once at home. He was constantly the Jedi, every hour of every day and would be so to the day he died. But she had taught him to put that aside in his spare time, the little one he did have. And Luke was very grateful to her for teaching him that knowledge.

Exhaustion had already fallen upon him, not just because of his sprint back home from the jungle outside of the temple area. Even if a Jedi could use the Force to put all kind of fatigue away, at least for a while, today had been a tough day. Not physically but mentally.

Two of the students, both rather new at the Academy, had begun to disagree and not get along. Not an uncommon thing among new students.

While his friend Kam Solusar had taken over the rest of the class, Luke had taken the two disputing Jedi students off the side to the outskirts of the Academy to settle the argument. Something that was always easier said than done.

The hours had gone by. Both students, as talented in the Force as they were, were both very stubborn. Both had argued wildly, both with each other and also with Luke as well. If not guided correctly, such disagreements could easily turn into violence. If Luke hadn’t been there, violence might have emerged. It had happened before.

The fuse had been cut now, though. The danger was blown off. The students no longer felt any anger. All disagreements had been settled.

And Luke was several hours late home!

Still, it felt good being home at his quarters at the Great Temple. But wherever she was, he was always home.

Luke just hoped she wasn’t too much angry with him. He knew she was waiting for his return home from work.

He followed the light and entered the living room. And there, on the coach, she rested peacefully. His best friend. The woman of his dreams. The love of his life.

His Mara.

Luke smiled softly and approached her as quietly as he could. She must have fallen asleep while waiting for him. He carefully sat down on the coach next to her and just observed her as she slept. She was so beautiful, her inner beauty most of all. And while sleeping her tough attitude, her wild sprit, was replaced by the innocence of an angel. And Luke loved it all, weather it was her wild spirit or the angel in her.

She was all he needed in this world. The Force had given him new eyes to observe the Universe, but Mara had given all the things he saw a meaning. All his previous pains, struggles and disappointments all faded and suddenly wasn’t so bad. Not even the things that had almost cost him his life. Or even his soul.

Even the memory of his father, to most people still most known as Darth Vader rather than Anakin Skywalker, was something he treasured these days rather than feared.

More than ever, Luke knew now why he struggled to bring peace to the galaxy. The Force had prepared him and given him experience. But it was Mara that had helped him find that final meaning!

And the meaning was love!

The power of true love, once you found the courage to allow it to embrace you, was the meaning of life! The meaning of everything.

Very carefully, Luke reached out with his left hand and touched her golden red hair. He didn’t want to disturb her rest. But ever since he and Mara finally had become lovers, after so many years of uneasy friendship that now had turned into unconditional love, he had never found a way to keep his hands off her while being in the same room with her. Not even when others were present.

He just couldn’t.

And, for once, Luke was not ashamed of that his Jedi discipline wasn’t having any effect!

He loved this woman. Loved her beyond all reason and understanding. And he wanted to show it to the whole Universe, no matter what others thought about it. People could object to the fact of this relationship, some also did. But Luke didn’t care. He was through putting his own feelings and happiness aside for the ignorance of others. He was no lesser Jedi because he had found happiness. No one had anything to fear. And that was one of the reasons why he had become so expressive with his love for Mara.

And why shouldn’t he be?

They had evolved so greatly during their time together. She, once the Emperor’s Hand, had wanted to have him killed in her belief that he had murdered the Emperor. And he, the last Jedi Knight, had showed her the truth. And dared to trust her.

For somehow, deep in his heart, Luke had known all along that Mara would never harm him. Today, they both knew why.

They had been blind to it when they meat, the circumstances at the time had shielded their eyes. Your eyes can deceive you so don’t trust them. That was what Obi-Wan had taught him during his very first Jedi lesson. It was a lesson that still followed Luke to this very day. And it had never been as obvious as it had been with Mara.

Although all her promises to kill him and his own almost foolish willingness to trust her despite her threats, the truth had been there in front of them all along. It had been more than mere love at first sight. It had been lust at first sight! They just hadn’t seen it.

Until now.

A smile of deep, humble affection started to form in Luke’s face. Watching her slumbering comfortably on her side on the couch was like watching a beautiful landscape. Her pale skin, her red hair and the green eyes, which he couldn’t see at this moment though, were like the colours of a painting. And her soft breathing while sleeping; so calm and feeling so secure, were like sweet music to his ears.

Luke wanted her to feel secure. He wanted her to be happy. And he had managed to give it to her.

That and much more.

It was truly an honour for him.

He could not deny that he longed for her this night, despite the rough day he had just come home from. Perhaps it was just because it had been tough that Luke felt that he needed to feel her body tight against his, skin against skin, her arms and legs wrapped around him, feeling her breath hit softly against him. He wished to put all responsibility of work aside and just be himself, engulfed in his affection for his woman. To be one with her; in mind, in spirit, in body, in the Force. The more he thought about it, the more he watched her, the more he realized that he wanted her.

That he needed her.

But she was sleeping. And Luke would never disturb her rest to satisfy his own needs. He would never want that at all unless Mara wanted the same. Fortunately, he realized and grinned; Mara seldom turned him down and mostly, she was the one that seduced him instead. It had taken him time but he nowadays dared to make the first moves without feeling shy or embarrassed. Frankly, he could not even remember why he once had been like that.

Mara had changed so much in him. To the better.

 - “Hi, Luke”.

Her green eyes opened, fatigue still very eminent in her face. She smiled at him and Luke relaxed. She was not mad at him. He had let her know earlier, through the Force, that he would be home later, but not that it would be this late. He had actually calculated that she would at least be a bit annoyed and been prepared for it.

But now he didn’t need to be.

He kept caressing her hair and parts of her face while his blue eyes gazed back into her emerald green. They were both drowning in the eyes of the other.

 - “I’m sorry I’m so late, sweetheart”, Luke said softly. Mara gave him a small nod.

 - “I understand”, she said and reached out with her hands to his face. - “Come here”.

Mara pulled him closer down to herself. She felt the touch of his soft lips brush against hers and they kissed tenderly. She felt his troubles go away, all thoughts of work and his worry for her being upset started to disappear. She honoured herself for accomplishing the impossible. To manage to teach Luke Skywalker how to put troubles aside and just enjoy life.

Yet that was nothing compared to everything he had taught, showed and given her.

 - “You look tired”, she noted from his tiresome eyes while caressing his cheek with her fingers. - “How did it go?”

She heard the obvious sigh coming from him, generated by her question. He wasn’t very fond of dragging that up again when he had managed to push those matters away from his mind for now. But she had to know.

 - “It’s fine now between the two, but it took it’s time”, Luke answered and rubbed his right eye for a moment to fight against the fatigue that crept more and more close to him. - “I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow”.

Mara accepted his answer. It could wait until tomorrow. All she had wanted to know was that he was feeling fine with no worries for his students.

Now she knew.

 - “I’ve made you a cup of chocolate”, she said, changing the subject. - “It’s in the kitchen; all you have to do is warm it”.

The surprised joy in Luke’s face warmed her heart. He loved hot chocolate and she knew her Jedi lover well enough to know that he could use some of that this evening.

 - “Thank you, love. Just what I need!” Luke said and kissed her tenderly again, but this time with a lot more passion and boldness. A small sigh of pleasure escaped Mara and it warmed Luke to his very core. Their lips didn’t part until they both needed to catch a new breath of air.

Luke kept looking at her, still feeling amazed that such a lovely woman with so much talent and abilities wanted and even loved a man like him. He was still a man of adventures, even if his teaching at the Academy most of the time slowed him down these days. Yet, his very position as Jedi Master often made him seem a bit boring. In Luke’s own eyes most of all.

But Mara never regarded him in that way.

He had even asked her once if she considered him as boring. At first glance, maybe; she had answered. The Jedi in him could seem a little stiff unless he was wielding his lightsaber. But the man underneath the discipline, her farmboy as she preferred to call him, was a lot of fun in her eyes.

No, Luke was anything but boring.

 - “You seem more deadbeat than I, though”.

Yes, she seemed very tired. Her eyes were heavy.

 - “I wanted to be up when you got home”, Mara said and a yawn escaped her. - “I must have fallen asleep while I was waiting”.

Just as Luke’s brother-in-law, Mara was never fond of waiting. It wasn’t in her nature. There was no wonder that she had fallen asleep. Han, however, had a tendency to complain about it a little bit more than her, though. Maybe it was the Jedi discipline in Mara that kept her whining a bit at bay.

She had taught Luke how to be less Jedi-like from time to time, while he in return had showed her to be more Jedi-like. Reality was probably somewhere in between.

Luke rose to his feet.

 - “I think we should get you into bed”, he stated and lifted her up into his arms. Mara smiled with much approval and the fatigue in her eyes suddenly seemed to vanish.

 - “Sounds like a very good idea”.

Luke could not hold back the grin. Mara had almost purred out those words.

He carried her to the bedroom and put her gently down on top of the bed. He gave her a small kiss on her temple before he turned his attention to himself for a moment, unhooking his lightsaber and taking off the top of his black Jedi uniform, leaving him dressed in merely his pants and an armless sweater.

He turned back to Mara again, realizing that she had kept her eyes on him the whole time. Her green eyes had already undressed him far more in her imagination than what he in reality had done. Soon, though, her imagination would become true.

He approached her again and sat down on the edge of the bed next to her. He still had a few things to do before she would get his absolute and full attention tonight.

 - “I’ll join you in a moment”, he whispered and gave her yet another soft kiss. - “Go to sleep”.

His voice was almost hypnotic. Mara knew that he could make her fall asleep if he wanted to, with ease even. And a great part of her wanted to go back to sleep again, it was late. But, despite how tired she actually was, she would resist it. He had come home now. She had slept enough for now.

 - “I am asleep”, she whispered back and gazed back into his baby-blue eyes. - “This is a dream”.

Looking back into her green eyes, Luke couldn’t agree with her more.

 - “Then it is a good dream. Sleep”.

******************************

The hot chocolate had hit right! It had given him new energy. More than ever today, Luke wanted to share his bed with the woman he loved. But there was one problem.

He had regained a lot of energy but she was still very tired. What to do?

With a grin he knew at least how to start.

Quietly he sneaked just outside his living quarters, the warm night breeze embracing him. Very soon, Luke found what he was looking for. He turned back and sneaked silently inside again. Mara was going to love this!

****************************

Mara lay on top of the bed on her right side, her head resting against her head, waiting for her lover to return. She didn’t know what took him so long but she waited patiently, while the beating of her heart rang loudly in her ears.

She heard him approaching the bedroom now. She longed to see his reaction. She knew he was not expecting this!

The first she saw was the silhouette of him, then the clear vision of him.

And after that, his happily surprised expression.

Mara smiled in triumph. She loved to give him surprises of this kind. He had received too few of them in his life. He deserved all that she could give him.

Luke stopped dead in his tracks, observing the erotic beauty in front of him. He smiled as he approved of what he saw. Mara’s clothes lay across a chair next to the bed while she now wore nothing more than a set of sexy underwear in green silk. He leaned against the doorframe, keeping his own secret surprise for her well hidden in his hand behind his back.

 - “I honestly thought you were tired”, he noted.

 - “I was”, Mara answered. - “But not anymore. Not when I need you tonight”.

The way he looked at her was enough to keep her awake all night. His blue eyes wandered all over her body. Mara knew that very soon his hands would take the same journey. She could hardly wait.

 - “What about you, Master Jedi? Do you still have some spare energy?”

Luke inhaled deeply. He was deeply aroused now. Mara definitely knew which buttons to push.

 - “I think that the Master has done enough for today. However, the farmboy is not so much affected by fatigue yet”.

He kept observing her, how she lay seducingly in a sexy pose on the bed. She had planned to do this all along. He would reward her greatly for her effort, that was a promise.

 - “And how can he be when the most beautiful woman he knows occupies his bed? And is dressed, or should I say undressed, like this?”

Mara giggled a little by his compliment.

 - “The farmboy will do just fine”, she said and patted the bed for him to come and join her. Luke was not late to obey her.

He climbed on to the bed and sat down next to her, still keeping his surprise hidden. With his free hand he reached out to her bra and touched the soft silk fabric that kept his fingers away from her skin.

 - “Is it new?” he asked.

 - “Yes”.

That explained why she had wanted to go into town by herself the last time they had been on Coruscant. She had even insisted that she wanted to go by herself.

 - “Are we celebrating something?” Luke asked, trying to remember if he had forgotten something important.

 - “Not really”, Mara said and enjoyed the sweet touch of his hand as it began travelling further down her body. - “But I was thinking of the two of us having a little private party. Since you’ve been working so much today I figured you needed a clear invitation”.

She gazed into his eyes.

 - “Does it work?” she wondered. Luke replied her with a smile.

 - “Much better than what any Jedi Mind Trick would ever pull off!”

His right hand travelled down to her legs, his eyes went along as he journeyed down her body. And then he travelled back up again the way he came from. Mara sighed softly.

 - “This is a Persuasion that not even a Jedi can resist”, he admitted and brought himself down closer to her face. - “But you knew that all along, didn’t you?”

 - “Well, my Jedi Master has taught me well”.

Her playfulness amused him.

 - “I love you”, he whispered and kissed her.

Engulfed in his desire for her, his lips travelled further down along her neck.

 - “You are gorgeous!” he whispered and moved his hand before her eyes. - “Close your eyes. I have a surprise for you too”.

 - “For me?”

Filled with surprised anticipation, Mara obeyed him, trying to prepare herself for whatever he had in mind. She had to admit that she didn’t have a clue what was on his mind.

From behind his back, Luke finally brought out what he had kept hidden from her. His lips kept moving down her body to her voluptuous forms of her bosoms. But soon he replaced his lips with something else.

Mara felt the new sensation against her skin. Something much, much lighter and softer than Luke’s lips. She kept her promise and kept her eyes closed, but she could hardly contain her curiosity. The softness of this light, sensual touch moved up to her face. When it slowly moved underneath her nose, moving over her lips, Mara felt a wonderful scent. A scent that seemed to enlighten her whole being.

 - “Dirnadia?”

She could not keep her eyes closed any longer. But Luke did not object. Mara had been right. In his hand he held the Dirnadia flower, an indigenous flower of Yavin 4 which had a strong, lovely scent and was coloured in blue and purple. Mara loved this flower and Luke knew that.

He passed the flower over to her, which she happily accepted. Mara usually wasn’t so much into romantic things. But since she and Luke had become lovers, she had begun to appreciate it a lot more.

It wasn’t just she that had opened his eyes to a brand, new world.

Luke leaned closer to her again, putting his arm around her.

 - “I’m really very sorry for being so late, Mara”, he repeated. Mara caressed his face with the purple-blue flower just as he had done to her a moment ago.

 - “You are worth waiting for”, she said. - “How was the chocolate?”

 - “Perfect”, he replied and pulled her even closer to him for another passionate kiss. - “But you taste a lot better”.
