THE SKYWALKERS

The course of time is during ROTJ & the only main characters are, naturally, Luke & Vader.

I hope this will give a smile on your face & also remind you of what ROTJ is all about.

 

 

SKYWALKERS

VADER:

The Dark Side is the place to be.

Strangling people is the life for me.

Chucks of planets blown up far and wide.

You can keep your Yoda, boy,

just give me that Darker Side!

 

LUKE:

The Light Side is where I’d rather stay,

I just look funny next to you anyway.

I don’t want to become some Sith Lord nut,

I’m a Jedi and will kick all Imperial butt!

 

VADER:

Right now I don’t give a damn.

But I better give you a warning.

The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am!

I’ll see you soon one morning.

 

LUKE:

The times have already grown darker.

I can’t kill my own father.

I’m the last of the Jedi.

No one can believe it, not even I.

I have to go now, goodbye.

 

VADER:

Luke, I’m your daddy

and you’re the only one that can make me really happy.

The whole galaxy can be ours

in just the matter of a few hours!

 

LUKE:

First you cut off my hand.

And then you told me that we, together, should rule over all land.

But no longer a reckless boy am I.

Now I’m a man and a Knight of the Jedi.

 

VADER:

Son, the only reason why I want just you

is the fact that we were meant to stand as two.

We would make the greatest team

that the galaxy has ever seen.

This is my ultimate dream!

 

LUKE:

I now fight for good and I serve the Light.

And to my disposal I have all of the Force’s might.

I’m no longer a little dope.

I’m the galaxy’s last hope.

 

VADER:

Believe in that I never will, nope!

Something is going on here.

I can feel it in your heart so very near.

You’re hiding something from me, young mister!

 

LUKE:

That’s right, and that’s my sister!

 

VADER:

Sister!? Obi-Wan, you jealous traitor, how could you be so sinister!?

He managed to fool me with his lies and conceit.

But now his failure is complete!

What did he ever hope to win?

 

LUKE:

To protect my twin.

And so will I!

 

VADER:

Even if all he told you about me was a lie?

 

LUKE:

Yeah, you heard me right.

And I will stop you from harming her will all my might!

Neither Leia or me will you turn to the Dark Side,

even if we have to fight against your stubborn pride!

 

LUKE AND VADER:

Between you and me

an effort there must be,

so the Force may open our minds and let us see.

 

LUKE:

X-Wings!

 

VADER:

Black things!

 

LUKE:

Oh? In that case, have you noticed that we’re now both dressed in black?

 

VADER:

Please, boy, get off my back!

If like me

you wish to be…

 

LUKE:

No! Why can you not see?

 

VADER:

…Then the Emperor I now wish you to obey.

 

LUKE:

Dark Lord, you should know that that for me is no way!

No to your offer is all I have to say.

I will not turn and then you’ll be forced to kill me.

 

VADER:

If that is the destiny you wish it to be.

 

LUKE:

Search your feelings.

You can be among better beings.

Come with me, father!

Do not make this any harder.

Don’t hide behind your stubborn pride.

 

VADER:

You don’t know the power of the Dark Side!

I must obey my Master!

 

LUKE:

That will only bring disaster!

I know that it exists some good

under your darker mood.

Your name is Anakin, you are still the same.

 

VADER:

Never again I wanna hear that name!

 

LUKE:

Do not give me the blame

just because you turned to the Dark Side and got totally insane!

 

VADER:

Now you’re starting to make me really upset.

 

LUKE:

Yeah, I’d bet!

 

VADER:

Someone,

like Obi-Wan,

has stuffed a lot of crazy thoughts in your head!

 

LUKE:

Then my father is truly dead.

I want you to know one thing,

and I’m not kidding.

You do not make me very glad.

I wonder if you have truly turned mad.

 

VADER:

So what? I’m still your dad.

 

LUKE:

I know and it makes me so sad.

 

VADER:

Within you lies the power to be bad!

 

LUKE:

Now you’re starting to make me really pissed!

 

VADER:

It’s useless to resist!

 

LUKE:

Still I must learn to stand it with you.

How, though, I don’t know.

But if I do it for Leia’s sake

it might turn out to be a piece of cake!?º

 

LUKE AND VADER:

The Death Star, we will be there.

So will the Emperor, will we bare?

The ultimate confrontation – here we come!

Whoever wins – Palpatine, your life is done!

 

LUKE:

I’ve not come to seek vengeance.

 

VADER:

I must point out, though, that you seem a little tense.

 

LUKE:

Revenge is not the way of the Jedi.

 

VADER:

Trust me; the Dark Side is the best way to live by.

 

LUKE AND VADER:

We went up to the new D.S. in a shuttle Tyderium.

Facing the Emperor seemed like nothing more than a necessary tedium.

By the Force, how ugly the old man is!

He’s really something you can afford to miss.

 

VADER:

Now, Luke, towards the Dark Side you must go.

The Emperor tells you so.

But still you refuse and say “no.”

 

LUKE:

Palpatine said: “Use your aggressive feelings, boy!”

But Master Yoda taught me that the Dark Side is not a toy.

Lucky for me that it rang a bell.

Father said: “Obi-Wan has taught you well”.

 

VADER:

You are unwise to lower your defenses!

 

LUKE:

Now we must both come to our senses.

 

VADER:

You’re making me very disappointed.

 

LUKE:

That’s only because you’ve gotten me cornered.

Fight you, father, I will not.

 

VADER:

I’m beginning to get sick of this plot!

 

LUKE:

The truth, father, you obviously do not see.

Within you a conflict there must be.

Otherwise, all of this would not happen between you and me.

 

VADER:

A conflict!? There is none!

I thought about this everything had been said and done.

 

LUKE:

You couldn’t bring yourself to kill me before.

That’s a truth you can’t ignore.

 

VADER:

You underestimate the power of the Dark Side!

That’s how Obi-Wan died!

 

LUKE AND VADER:

Anger, hate and fear.

Palpatine’s victory suddenly seems so very near.

Between us are blades of green and red.

We’re drifting between being alive and dead.

 

LUKE:

I will never let you hurt Leia!

 

VADER:

Well, I have the right to see my own daughter, may I!?

 

LUKE AND VADER:

Dark or Light,

will the father or the son have the might?

Either way, again we both must fight.

With sabers of light

we fight for what we believe is right.

 

VADER:

Luke, I can sense your anger.

 

LUKE:

By the Force, father, I think we both are now in danger!

I cut your hand off, just like you once did to me.

How could I let this be!?

 

VADER:

It wasn’t your fault, son.

Besides, what’s done is done.

You only felt the need to slaughter

because I threatened to turn my own daughter.

 

LUKE:

Palpatine told me to stand by his side,

but on the Dark path I cannot hide.

He will very soon finally see

that I’m a Jedi like my father before me!

 

VADER:

I saw Palpatine’s lightning.

It was very brightening.

I heard my son’s screams in pain.

In this I saw no gain.

His body, illuminated in this destructive blue light.

Finally I had my insight!

My son was dying,

only because to myself I had been lying.

Luke, your plea opened up the door

right to the heart of my core.

Stop the Emperor I must!

After I threw him down the reactor he turned to dust.

 

LUKE:

Father, you saved my life!

You cut the darkness away from me like a mighty knife.

You later asked me to take off your mask.

At first, this was the one thing of me you could not ask.

 

VADER:

Please, Luke, this will be my final task.

I will die now anyway.

And I have one last thing left to say.

 

LUKE:

What I first had been told about you had been a lie.

Now, when I finally have you with me, I couldn’t watch you die.

But then I had to give in

to your strong, emotional begging.

In my eyes you saw my tears

but in yours I no longer saw any fears.

You told me that I had been right

and then you disappeared into the everlasting night.

 

ANAKIN:

You saved me from the Dark Side, my son.

You are now a true Jedi after all you have done.

I’m so very proud of you

and very soon your sister will be that, too.

 

LUKE:

I went back to the Moon of Endor.

I had wanted to tell you more.

Now my heart will forever be soar.

It’s a fact I can never ignore.

 

ANAKIN:

I was born to fulfill the Prophecy of the Chosen One.

I was taught the ways of the Force by Obi-Wan.

But the one to bring the Balance was my son

who made the decisions that I should have done.

 

LUKE:

I watch your pyre burn.

The Jedi will return!

A Jedi that was; a Jedi to be.

Father, that’s you and me!

Now I can hear song and dance.

The galaxy has been given a second chance.

From Cloud City to Tatooine and Naboo, to Coruscant to Endor I sense

liberty!

In every heart there’s purity.

Again I’m allowed to witness my sister’s lovely face.

The truth about Leia still amaze.

You’re united now with Yoda and Obi-Wan.

Through the Force we’re all one!

 

LUKE AND ANAKIN:

We were born to walk the sky.

Our destinies tell us now to fly.

Light or Darkness,

we will always remain Skywalkers!
